about

I often go swimming both for its physical benefits as exercise, but also as a type of meditation. Plugging ones ears and submerging one's head beneath the water, one feels a stillness and pressure that becomes soothing and calming.

In the summer of 1998 I traveled to Scotland where I swam in Loch Ness submerging myself beneath the unimaginably cold and dark waters of the ancient lake. The remember the experience now as quite healing and as facilitating a deeper connection to myself and my own archetypal understanding of my own psychological and emotional condition.

Duane did a particularly brilliant job with this track with organizing and orchestrating a sonic backdrop using various percussive elements. It was challenging yet very enjoyable to attempt to assemble this in some type of sonic tapestry that works aesthetically while under scoring the meaning of the lyrics--MAM

This is a high point on the record for me, I really enjoyed adding layer upon layer of percussion. The metric changes along the way help keep things interesting.--dh

lyrics

Part 2

Depression enables empathy, but I can't escape this dark enclosure
of my isolation, my hesitation, let it go
The air outside my lungs no one, no one here is even breathing
It all made sense just for a day, just for one day

Time to go, too lucky to forget to be forgotten
Time to go, I'm lucky to forget to and be forgotten
Knowing nothing was news in my world

The sound of the pressure resting above my head
With the ringing in my ears don't let this chance go by
No upset for the loosing kind,
and in old ways and old dreams many died in daily trenches

Time to go, too lucky to forget to and be forgotten
Time to go, too lucky to forget to and be forgotten
Knowing nothing was news in my world

I would have liked to see things differently
So many stumblings failings multiplied never lived in this moment pinned with guilt
I would have liked to see things differently
So many stumblings failings multiplied never lived in this moment pinned with guilt

Time to go, too lucky to forget to and be forgotten
Time to go, too lucky to forget to and be forgotten
Knowing nothing was news in my world
Knowing nothing was news in my world

Knowing nothing, Knowing all, Knowing nothing take the fall
Knowing nothing, Knowing all, Play the part and take it all
Knowing nothing, Knowing all, Take the pain and fake it all
