about

Although the performance of this track sounds quite angry in it's execution, the lyric is really meant to be uplifting in the sense that it reflects a pragmatic understanding of the imperfections of oneself in daily life dealing with the inconsistencies with one's feelings and with one's function. The end of this lyric represents the realization that one does have to redefine and reframe one's own ever "emerging self" to create a better individual self in the future.
I ended up singing what ended up to be a contrapuntal co-lead vocal underneath Danny which is a bit of a challenge due to the disparate qualities of our individual voices. --MAM

lyrics

Part 4

I can not escape this dark enclosure...
Entombed in the darkness, locked in water, locked in memory
I wish my sensory devoid, my head no longer burning in the cleansing cold
I can not escape, I can not escape...

If I were half a life with only half the time, I'm broken
Spoken of the Ill, with a will of its own, A layer of something
The upper limits of the liquid, a body far forgiving, to face the end awaken
If I were half a lie without familiar ties, unspoken

My thinking getting deeper, My strength is growing meeker
Allow mans armor, to pull me under
The stain of you, the guilt of you, The shame of all I knew
Denying you all I promised, Denying her all I promised

All thrown away, all thrown away
Just let it go this time, Oh let it go this time
Let it go don't throw it all away
